Dandelions

Dandelions – colourful wild flowers

I love all the wild flowers that are out at this time of year – these dandelions looked particularly good against the green of the grass, alongside such a strong blue sky.

Paper boats

This collection of paper boats was made for a race at a recent weekend away. Sadly they didn’t make it into the water, but they were very photogenic!

Daffodils at Edinburgh castle

The sun brought loads of folk out into the centre of town today. I went into the Grassmarket to take some pictures in preparation for the April photography workshop I’m running. I ended up on the castle esplanade, and then spotted the daffodils. There’s a really spectacular display on the slopes below Edinburgh castle, overlooking Princes Street Gardens.

Autumn leaves

Autumn leaves

So Isobel set the challenge this week to take a photo titled ‘Autumn leaves’. I was hoping I would find a few more Autumnal colours by the weekend, but there still seems to be a lot of green around here at the moment. But earlier on today, I went out for a spin on the bike, and found this…it feels a bit of a half measure, as this is really ‘Autum leaf’.
