Bridge over the Water of Leith at Stockbridge
This was a lucky moment! I was returning home from taking photos of a dental surgery in Leith. I’d decided to head along the Water of Leith, and I noticed this amazing sky just as I approached the bridge at the end of Saunders Street in Stockbridge.

Textures and backgrounds

Ullapool bay in the Scottish highlands
I was in Ullapool on the spring for the Adult Feis. What a fantastic weekend – there were countless opportunities for taking landscape photos around Ullapool. it’s a very photogenic place. The weekend was also packed with music, friends and fun, with a fantastic line up of musicians teaching and performing, and some lively sessions going on late into the night.
And someone even thought to lay on sunshine for the weekend. Perfect!

So Isobel set the challenge this week to take a photo titled ‘Autumn leaves’. I was hoping I would find a few more Autumnal colours by the weekend, but there still seems to be a lot of green around here at the moment. But earlier on today, I went out for a spin on the bike, and found this…it feels a bit of a half measure, as this is really ‘Autum leaf’.
