The landscape around the west coast islands is endlessly stunning. This is one of my favourite places for photos – the uninhabited island of Taransay in the Outer Hebrides

I took this shot during the annual Taransay Fiddle Camp. This photo is Corran Raa , a spit of sand pointing towards Harris. There’s also a fantastic band of the same name. Have a listen on Myspace – they write beautiful tunes!
